The Ladybird and The Cactus

June 13, 2012 · 1 comment

Dear Fizgigglers,

By the time you read this, I will be up to no good, dirty mischief with my dear friend, Momsicle, in Portland, Oregon.

I freely admit to laziness with this post, because it’s an image you’ve seen before: a photo I took on a recent camping trip to the Anza-Borrego Desert.  However, I couldn’t resist throwing in a little colour palette painted with a brush I created in Photoshop, so I guess I’m not a complete lazy toad.

I am delighted to be able to say I didn’t edit this photograph at all. The moment was magical: the pink light was perfect, the ladybug didn’t fly off, the evil Cholla cactus didn’t prick me, and I got to my camera’s macro settings in time. Overall I think this snap is worthy of having its own post, et voilà.

See you when I’m back!

Lauren xx

I love ladybugs and the pic is beautiful. I won’t tire of it, that is for certain. After seeing Momsicle’s post, I can fully attest to the fact that are NOT a lazy toad…Glad you got to go to another place and can’t wait until you post again! Have a great week! :-)
