I’m fascinated by historical fashions. I’m also a sucker for time lapse and good editing. Dear Mr. Fizgig showed me this and I couldn’t resist sharing with you here:

I just love this video. Also makes me miss my hometown!

Speaking of historical fashions, check out my great-great-aunt, Babette, below.  I love her independent spirit and think she and I would have had much to talk about. And, trousers in the 1920s or earlier? What a rockstar!

I had a great-aunt Mame (yes, I had an Auntie Mame!)who seemed to be quite a character. No pictures of her exist that I know of, however. She once got drunk and fell out a second story window. She only broke her arm, but she landed on a poor, innocent passer-by and KILLED him. True story.
